Argentina: Prime Production Ground for Film, TV, Commercial & Photo Shoots

Overview

Argentina is a globally recognized production destination, thanks to its stunning landscapes and architectural diversity. Buenos Aires—consistently ranked among Variety’s top five cities to shoot—boasts dynamic café culture, bars, museums, theaters, and sports venues. Red Creek’s Buenos Aires office is based in Palermo Hollywood, a district we helped pioneer two decades ago. Named for its concentration of film and TV production houses, our location puts us squarely in the creative heartbeat of the city. In Argentina, we’ve produced local and international films and series, hundreds of TV spots, and print campaigns—and are widely considered one of the country’s most trusted, skilled, and admired production companies. Whether it’s the warm tones of autumn or the snowy palette of Patagonia, our team knows how to deliver.

Locations Diversity

Covering nearly two million square miles and spanning sea‑level plains to Andean peaks over 22,000 feet, Argentina offers an epic range of shooting locations.

From city to wild:

  • Buenos Aires: Classic Parisian boulevards, New York loft vibes, colorful shantytowns, glass towers, and American suburbs—film doubles are easy and options are endless.

  • Coastline, rivers, beaches, plains, wineries, ski resorts: You name it—we’ve got it.

  • National parks, canyons, Patagonia, glaciers, Iguazú Falls: Dramatic vistas for film, documentary, or high-end photo work.

Film permits here are quick, affordable, and smooth—ideal for busy production timelines.

Weather & Seasonal Advantages

Argentina’s weather is as versatile as its locations.

  • In the north, you’ll find everything from subtropical jungles to high-altitude desert plains.

  • In Patagonia, dramatic winter snow and mild summer landscapes offer cinematic variety.

  • Buenos Aires boasts a Mediterranean-like climate: long spring/summer daylight runs from September to May—an ideal time to shoot “summer” while the Northern Hemisphere is frozen over. Likewise, June–August brings pristine winter visuals.

Crew, Equipment & Studios

With a century-old film industry, Argentina has one of Latin America’s biggest and most experienced bilingual (often multilingual) crew pools. Buenos Aires is home to multiple studio complexes and fully equipped camera/equipment rental houses. When filming outside the capital, gear and crew still travel easily from metropolitan Buenos Aires.

Casting & Talent

Dubbed the theatrical capital of Latin America, Buenos Aires is teeming with multicultural actor talent—from European, Asian, Latin American, and African backgrounds. The city is a melting pot for high-caliber performers, with extensive experience in film, TV, commercials, and live theater.
